Goals for the New Year...really?

It is currently New Year's Day, and the day that I have officially released my link to my blog for all of you wonderful people to follow my journey. Hopefully, it will also allow you to get to see a familiar and hopefully positively different side of me! More like a way into the process of my brain sort of. Now, looking at the title it seems positive and then looks like it could be a little negative, but let me explain!

I am all about having, and setting short-term and long-term goals. However, by making this post, I do not want to come off a cliche for trying to put out my goals for the new year out into the universe as most people do. In contrast, I want to more like share my ideas that I hope will come to life for me this year, and hope that all of you guys can accomplish your goals, ideas, and aspirations for the year ahead as well!

First, I am very excited to have now released my blog site! I have never done this before so I am excited to see where it takes me! I am also excited to embark on my journey at Utah Valley University. I am hoping for a great and successful semester! I will be starting to try and get back into driving more, and I have mixed thoughts on it. I know I can do it, and I know I am not a bad driver, but I can't pinpoint why I don't feel excited about it. I mean I know that whenever I can finally drive on my own I can go do different things, but I don't know. It feels like there's this weird uncertainty in the back of my mind when I think about driving, but whether I am ready or not I am going to try again to go after getting my license. Another thing I want to try and get into is meditation. For some reason, that idea is something I want to try out and see how it goes. I will probably also try to possibly get into swimming, maybe. We will see about that one. That was an idea someone close to me ran by me to see if it could possibly help me sleep better, and I liked the idea. I did not just like it because of the sleep thing. Regardless of if it could help with that or not, it is also a great way to get exercise in! So, I may look into that! I might look into a part-time job possibly, but we will have to wait and see for that one. Haha! Lastly, I intend to move forward with my typical Monday Motivational posts on Instagram. I will for sure be pursuing my interest in rock painting/art more this year now that I have paint pens and rocks specifically for that! This year is going to be interesting, to say the least!

In conclusion, I feel like this year will be a good year! I cannot wait for what is to come this year! I am excited about the new lessons, experiences, and memories soon to arrive! I am ready to face the challenges and ups and downs that will be thrown my way! Whatever happens, happens, and everything always happens for a reason! It is never truly what happened, who, or what, but it is always more about what we take from the experiences and lessons we encounter! I hope all of you from this day forward have an amazing 2019! Thank you for following me on my journey in my life, and following my self-growth! I can't wait to take yall with me on these new journeys!

Best regards,

The Inspiring Hummingbird!
